All eyes were on Kyiv last Friday, as the official draw for next summer’s European Championships got underway. But there were mixed fortunes for our sides en-route to the knockout stages.
England avoided the worst of it, facing France, co-hosts Ukraine and Sweden in Group D. But it was another story for the Republic of Ireland, who will have to overcome defending champions Spain, Italy and Croatia in order to qualify from Group C!

Based on a traditional design first introduced at the 1978 FIFA World Cup in Argentina, the adidas Tango will make its fourth appearance at the UEFA European Championships based in Poland and Ukraine.
A stalwart of the 1980s, this iconic theme features the classic adidas triad circle design – outlined with the host nations’ colours imprinted into decorative art cuttings to inspire national pride.
Tested by a host of top European clubs, such as Chelsea and Real Madrid, the latest tournament ball has exceeded all FIFA Approved Standards for an official match ball – dismissing fears born from the controversial Jabulani design used at the 2010 World Cup.

Developed over a two-year period by football giants adidas, the new adidas Tango 12 features thermally bonded panels to ensure a more accurate flight and enhanced aerodynamics.
